My family and I have been having a pretty great summer! The surprising thing is that it’s not because we went on a vacation or a trip (because we really haven’t!) but because we are fortunate to have been given opportunities to be involved in a number of different interesting events in the city. I’m particularly really thankful to have been part of Design Week PH last month with the Craft Camp PH team — Alessa Lanot, Mansy Abesamis, Mikko Sumulong and Macy Alacaraz. Our last project together was an out of town camp which happened October last year so it really has been quite a while. It was Read More
Project Accomplished!
I've finally come to the end of last year's #the100dayproject! I stalled for months and months but when I found out two weeks ago that this year's was about to begin, I knew I just had to catch up! So I did! I managed to finish 28 days worth of drawings within the last 15 days (most drawn the last three!). To end, I did an illustration of my now sore and ink-stained right hand (see last drawing in post). That's because my hand and I are very thankful for this project and what it had allowed me to do. First, because I was able to rediscover what used to be my favorite pastime. I Read More
Captured & Documented: 2015
I stayed home all weekend because the girls weren't feeling so well. They're doing okay now and I really think it was just the intense heat that had affected them badly. In between chores and tending to them, I decided to catch up on my scrapbooking and I finally finished documenting our 2015 life events. You see, I've decided not to do weeklies because I know well that it is something I am not going to be able to keep up with. I don't want scrapbooking to be a burden but an activity I delight in so I chose not to put myself under that pressure and stick to documenting occasions and Read More

Playful Snacks
We, at Craft Party PH, like to try out new things and collaborate with makers who are looking into sharing their craft and extending the reach of their brand. Last February, we collaborated with Nikki Garcia of Nikkimbento and did a basic bento making Craft Party. It was most definitely a first for us because it involved FOOD! It wasn't the first time we worked with Nikki, though. We met her when she agreed to be one of the sponsors for our halloweem-themed Craft Party October last year. And that's when we discovered what an awesome bento maker she is! (Remember those cute little ghost and Read More
A HeART-filled Weekend
Kayo and I spent our Valentines weekend very differently this year. While I would normally opt for a quiet romantic dinner to celebrate, I can't say I did not enjoy how we spent it this time. It was definitely one for the books! Kayo and I, together with a bunch of other talented and adored local (and one foreign) artists took part in Ayala Mall's Love'm Hearts campaign. It was a celebration of love and art at all Ayala Malls nationwide! Kayo's primary role was to bring in artists and direct the painting of giant heart installations situated in eight different Ayala Malls in Luzon over the Read More
K-Farr Dress Up Day!
Kayo and I are currently buried in different types of art projects. And this time, aside from just the usual art direction and brand development we do at Honeycomb, we find we're handling more and more event production that are centered in the arts, which allows us to work with many different creative people. In fact, we're currently gearing up for another city wide art event (keep posted!). After having experienced the first one (you can read about it here) and having witnessed how it works, we're looking towards a bigger, more epic and more organized art festival! Can't wait to meet this Read More
Kendo Is Open
Some time five years ago, before we even had any kids, I remember going to a street party at Cubao Expo with Kayo and some other friends. I don't recall what event it was but I do remember having really enjoyed it. There was live music, a couple of art shows, cool vintage finds, poetry, drinks, as well as many interesting people to meet. I also remember talking to Kayo about it days after and telling him how it would be interesting to run a place where many different types of art is welcome and hold events where people can just express their creativity without it being so formal or Read More
Our Holidays In A 4×4
How has your first few weeks of the New Year been? I hope great, no less. Mine has been good but, I must say, it was difficult for me to let go of the holidays, simply because it's my favorite time of year. I love the merry making, the presents, the holiday crafting, the giving and receiving, the eating, the songs! I even keep a mental list of fun little December traditions I do my best to keep. And I think I've added a new one to that list because this specific activity has really helped me find meaning in moments and joy in the mundane. I put together my first ever December Daily Read More
A Very Merry Stamping Party
Wow. I can't believe we're at the end of the year! December seemed to have just whisked by in a blink. So before this month closes, let me tell you about our final Craft Party for 2015 which happened last Dec 5th — Very Merry Stamps: a rubberstamp making and gift wrapping party. We were privileged to have been given the chance to hold it at the wonderful Museo Sanso at San Juan. It was such a treat for the workshop participants and for us, the organizers, to be in a very serene and inspiring environment. We were situated in the open floor in the middle of the museum where, Read More
