Our family spent the long weekend in surftown to celebrate Summer’s birthday and be with family. It was pouring when we arrived. Flooding even. While we do very much like rainy days in LU, we also hoped to enjoy some time at the beach. So we were very happy to get a glimpse of the sun by our third day there.
We stayed out for hours and soaked it in, let our noses toast and our skin get sandy. Then, on our final afternoon swim before heading back home, the skies showed off. Like a canvas covered in molten gold, it blessed us with the most glorious goodbye, as if saying, “There’s no way you’ll forget me now.” There really is nothing quite like sunsets in LU.
