2019, the year before the pandemic, was a pretty eventful year. It was the year we let go of Kendo Creative (a small cafe and art hub we ran in Cubao), the year I went on a solo trip to Taipei, the year we went on many mini road trips as a family! A few months ago, I finally finished putting together my 2019 Project Life album.

This is my sixth “year in highlights” album to date and maybe my last for now. I have been documenting our years in this pocket page system since 2014 when Jo was but an itty bitty newborn! It has been a lot of fun to make and my family seems to always enjoy reliving the past while browsing through them. However, I’ve decided to take an indefinite break from making them and just focus on my weekly and travel journals for now. I guess that’s why this particular one feels a little extra special.

I slowly worked on this album throughout the last two years. In the midst of the global (and my internal) crisis, piecing together these memories brought me so much joy. That has always been the goal of making these albums — To capture fleeting moments of beauty so they can be celebrated even when the present looks bleak. They’ll always be reminders of how much we’ve been given, how far we’ve come and how good life can be
Sharing with you a quick flip through of my 2019 Project Life album. I hope you get a glimpse of the love that went into this project 🙂
