I get constant demand for arts and crafts at home. My three girls are perpetually tinkering, cutting, gluing, folding and making things with whatever material they find — most of the time it’s paper. (Our house has piles of paper sculptures and cutouts everywhere!)
A couple of weeks ago, our talented illustrator friend, Soleil Ignacio, gave little Jo one of her glam paper girls (as shown above). Naturally, when my other two daughters saw it, they pleaded that I make them their own. I can’t draw as well as Soleil, but I did what I could and made them these little girl paper dolls with cute outfits I would most surely dress my own daughters in!
I drew the dolls and the outfits but I let them do the coloring and decorating. I specifically love how Summer made one of the dresses rainbow-colored and how they all gave them colorful hair-dos! It turned into another afternoon of endless play, fun and “style,” as my little fashionista, Emma Louise, would say.
As we enter into another weekend, I thought it would be nice to share these dolls as FREE PRINTABLES for all the Mommas and little girls out there who are always on the lookout for indoor activities. There are three different dolls and six outfits to share! My daughters even named them — Laura, Cassia and Ella.
All you have to do is click HERE, print on board paper (preferably fine board vellum), color, cut and play! Make them as colorful as you like. You may even use the clothes as pattern to make your own.
Enjoy and have a beautiful weekend!
