Last month I was finally able to release and sell the first batch of stamps from my 100 rubberstamp project from 2020. I’m feeling quite relieved because selling these babies have always been part of the plan. I knew in my heart of hearts they are meant to be let go and made available to those who can get creative with them.
A lot of work goes into selling these stamps, in my opinion, simply because I refuse to sell them as is. The process includes mounting each of them on wood, testing their stamping quality, pricing them, actively promoting them on my personal page, packaging them nicely once sold and making sure they are shipped to their new owners in good time. To me, it’s more than just making money out of my work, it is also about creating a pleasant experience for my clients and, hopefully, sparking in them some kind of positive feeling when my work finally reaches their hands.
I got just a little bit carried away for this release. I was so excited that I ended up making extra goodies to include in every order.
I made a little illustration showing how my desk would look like when I’m in the process of making a stamp and turned it into a 3×4 inch print. Every purchase includes either the white version or a navy blue one.
I knew I had to put in a sticker too, so I made a colorful little abstract badge with my personal slogan, “Today is yours to make” written on it.
All orders come in kraft boxes with an ink printed design on top — also carved by me!
I truly truly enjoyed packing these boxes and I am deeply grateful to each and every single one who bought my stamps! I’m honestly so curious to know (and see!) how they will use them.
I have also been receiving several requests for custom stamps which I have been graciously accommodating. It has been a lot of fun working on them — birds, insects, furniture, flowers — themes I love carving! Some even requested for me to come up with more abstract designs and the whole creative process has been giving me so much life, really.
In case you missed the stamp sale and you’re interested in my rubberstamps, you can send me a message on Instagram to request for one (or more!) made but I am actually releasing the second batch of stamps within the coming week! I’m even working on a new sticker design to include in every order. Do follow me on Instagram to catch my Stamp Story Sale. It’s happening! Very very soon.
