It has been an eventful summer but I’m glad we at Craft Party PH managed to squeeze in a Meet and Make last month with our crafty friends! It was also a little celebration for several of us who had our birthdays the last few months.
We decided to eat out this time and held it at Makansutra PH, Megamall, where it’s hard not to enjoy the food — everything is a good idea!
It was a summer themed Meet and Make and though it was not meant to be a Craft Swap, an exchange of gifts took place. Kate of Kate Baked brought us some of her delicious homemade cookies while Mabby had everyone gasp for joy at the paper flower crowns she made for each of us! They were fab fab fab! My little companion seemed to think so too…
I, as well, brought a little something to give away. Aside from the Instax photos I took of everyone, I had made little chipboard clipboards to hold them. I even put magnets on the back so they can stick it on their fridge.
I think it’s a cute way of displaying Instax photos and it’s easy to change it up as well. I simply used chipboard (I found stashed in the house), mini wooden pegs and magnet, then decorated them with paint and rubberstamps. To complete the giveaway, I stuck in some stickers too!
Of course, our Meet and Make wouldn’t be complete without making. Fhely prepared cute little clay shapes which we painted and turned into fun and fancy bag charms.
It turned out to be another lovely afternoon together away from our respective jobs and jam-packed lives. We caught up on each other’s projects, talked about trips we had made and were about to make, nibbled on cookies and prata, made stuff and just enjoyed each others company. Sometimes that’s all you really need to get through another week. That and a paper flower headpiece!
