It has been an eventful summer but I'm glad we at Craft Party PH managed to squeeze in a Meet and Make last month with our crafty friends! It was also a little celebration for several of us who had our birthdays the last few months. We decided to eat out this time and held it at Makansutra PH, Megamall, where it's hard not to enjoy the food — everything is a good idea! It was a summer themed Meet and Make and though it was not meant to be a Craft Swap, an exchange of gifts took place. Kate of Kate Baked brought us some of her delicious homemade cookies while Mabby had everyone gasp for Read More
Galentines Party
I do believe that Valentine's is not exclusively for people in romantic relationships. It's a celebration of love and is meant for those who love and are loved. It's also the perfect time to celebrate friendships. So in Craft Party PH, we invited a bunch of our friends to get together for a relaxing afternoon of gal-time. We had it on the rooftop of Mia's parents' beautiful home. We had the weather on our side too and all the natural light one could ask for to take gorgeous, instagram-worthy pictures. And what would a party with crafters be without even a bit of handmade and DIY? Mabby of Read More
One Year of Friendship, One Year of Crafts
Craft Party PH turned one last May 16! Can you believe it?! It's only been a year and it feels like we've been doing this much longer. Mia and I are always full of gratitude for all the good this little business of ours has brought into our lives, so to celebrate, we organized a Craft Swap with fellow craft-loving friends. We held it at Kendo on the 7th of May and there were eight of us that lovely morning! The theme of the swap was "Summer fun" and the only rule in joining was to bring items that participants themselves had made. It could be anything as long as inspired by the Read More
A Playful and Creative Summer
It's unbearably hot outdoors, the kind that puts you in a very foul mood but as you step inside the studio, you're greeted with colorful paper, the cheerful voices of children and a lively atmosphere of creativity! It's instantly uplifting and you almost forget the awful heat. This is the case for all six classes of Playful Crafts, a series of arts and crafts workshops for kids by Craft Party PH. The 2-hour morning sessions were held in Kendo Creative at Cubao Expo. Each class offered something different and exciting, in such a way that the art-making was mixed into fun, learning Read More
Partying Hard! (Part II)
As a small budding business and creative community, Mia and I of Craft Party PH get to experience a lot of firsts. We're like funny little toddlers learning to walk more steadily, giddy and excited as we cross milestones. The last month has been about firsts — our first mall event and our first time to share our story as passion pursuers — and oh what a ride it has been! Please spend another minute or two with me and let me tell you how we've been partying during last two weeks of November... Craft Festival at UP Town Center UP Town Center and Ayala Malls invited us, through Karla Pasion Read More
Partying Hard! (Part I)
It has been a couple of exciting months for us at Craft Party PH and we are really grateful for the support we are getting from so many different people. We've been working very hard putting together monthly events and workshops and it's all been worth it because of the relationships we are building and new things we are learning. So here is an update of what we've been up to lately...Also, taking this opportunity to thank the many people and wonderful brands who have shown their support to our little crafty community. Lately in C&V…
It feels like there's a thousand things going on in our lives right now and I've just been too slow updating the blog (huhu) so I've decided to make a quick(ish) round up of my favorite things, projects and happenings as of late... JO TURNS ONE The family drove up to La Union last week for Craft Camp PH and the day before camp was our Jo's first birthday! We didn't get to prepare a party but we did gather friends and family who were there the same weekend for lunch and cake at Flotsam and Jetsam Artist Beach Hostel. It was short and simple and was really just about doing something with the Read More
Handmade Bling!
Teaching new crafts is one of our major goals in Craft Party PH but later on, we realized, that giving small businesses and blooming crafters, much like us, a venue to share their products and specialties is a very good goal to achieve as well. I personally love the idea because not only do I get the opportunity to teach at Craft Party PH, I also get to learn new things from other experienced artists! (A big woot-woot to collaborations!) So we, at Craft Party PH are so pleased and grateful for the success of our first event in collaboration with a guest instructor last August 29! It was a Read More
