I know it’s so cliche to draw water falls. I’ve seen too many cheesy paintings of them mounted on really tacky frames. But I drew this because one of my best memories — one of pure and indescribable joy — was in the middle of white water rafting in the Aayung River in Bali where my husband and I saw a water fall. It wasn’t huge but the water was pretty strong. We climbed out of the raft, stood underneath the fall and let the cold, rushing water wash our bodies.
