Fancy Heart Brooch
I’ve always loved making my own fancy brooches! A couple of years back, my kid’s and I made these heart ones as a Valentine’s activity which we all ended up wearing for day.

Materials to prepare are: cardboard cut to heart shapes, fabric scraps, buttons, ribbon, safety pin and hot glue. Important: an adult must handle the use of hot glue.
- Simply wrap the cardboard heart in fabric. Secure to the back with some hot glue.
- Cut some ribbon to attach to the pointed end of the heart.
- Embellish the front of the heart with buttons, sequins or any tiny embellishment
- Finally, attach a pin to the back
