It’s going to be a typography art fest this weekend at 10A Alabama! I’ve been excited about this event for weeks and I’m posting about it, hoping you guys, who have a fondness for typography and the art of lettering to come see Type-Kita: A two-day Exhibit for the Everyday Art Typography on March 15-16.
Many talented local artists such as Fozzy Dayrit-Castro (The Fozzy Book), Alessandra Lanot (LifeAfterBreakfastBlog), Hocus Manila, Alexis Ventura (Ink Scribbler), Pergy Acuna, Abbey Sy (Artistic Dreams), Risa Rodil, Patrick Cabral, Mansy Abesamis (Hey Kessy) and Kay Arazanso will be there to showcase their work and sell pieces, as well. Aside from that, some of them will also hold on-the-spot workshops to share their art, crafts and handlettering know-how for free. Just make sure to bring your writing tools!
Going to this event will also contribute to a good cause. For a very affordable entrance fee of P50, you can help raise funds to help the ongoing restoration of the lives of our brothers and sisters affected by Typhoon Yolanda. Proceeds from artwork sales will also go to the same cause.
This is a great venue to meet brilliant artists, be inspired by their original work and learn new things from one another. I do hope you come and let’s celebrate the art of typography together!
