Three days to go before Valentines day! If you are looking for last-minute craft projects to do on your own or with your kids in celebration of the occasion, I have put together five easy but lovely Valentine projects you can try at home!
GET LIT
Give life to plain candles by wrapping them up in leaf fossils, dried flowers or other decorative plants. Give them away as gifts or use them as a table centerpiece for your Valentines dinner at home. Who says staying at home for V-Day can’t be romantic? Watch this video for the step-by-step!

BLOOMING BOXES
Old boxes can also be put to good use. Simply paint over them and then decorate the top with flowers (fresh or dry!), ribbon and charms.

RAINBOW HEARTS
Make it a colorful Valentines day by adding scrape-painted hearts to your cards. These are the quickest to make! Just prepare some paint and paper.

STEP 1: Fold a piece of paper into a card
STEP 2: Cut out a heart-shaped hole on the front of the card
STEP 3: Lay it flat on a table with a piece of scratch paper underneath. Put some paint drops just above the heart-shaped hole

STEP 4: Use a piece of cardboard and scrape down while holding the card flat on the table. Add as much color as you desire. Scrape any which way you like!
STEP 5: Let the paint dry then write down your special message inside.

SHAKE IT UP
Shake things up a little and take your Valentine card game a step higher with a button shaker! “Awhut?” you say? Yes, it’s basically a little transparent pocket in your card with loose buttons inside that move around when you shake it. Makes reading those love notes a little more fun! Add tiny sequins and beads if you like.

POP, GOES MY HEART
Another way you can spruce up your Valentine card is to make things pop!

STEP 1: Cut a big heart shape as the main body of your card
STEP 2: Cut out 4-5 little hearts and glue them together to create a flower
STEP 3: Glue the flower onto the center of the heart card, add a stem, some leaves and extra decor
STEP 4: Write how you feel <3
Wishing you all a happy hearts day! May you be surrounded by everyone and everything you love.
