Yesterday and today, we’ve been busy not only wrapping presents but also writing and sending greetings to loved ones here and abroad using our 2016 holiday cards! Our schedules have been crazy but we managed to squeeze in a simple photo shoot last week so we could have proper family photos to use for this year’s card layout. Of course, taking family portraits are always tricky with little kids. Luckily, all three of them were in the right mood and disposition that one Sunday morning so we had little trouble getting them in place, making them smile and pose for the camera. Having biscuits around helped a lot!
We decided to have the shoot at one of our favourite places in Manila — Cubao Expo! I think it’s very much appropriate. After all, sending these cards is a way for us to reach out to our loved ones with well wishes and also, give them an idea how we are doing as a family this time in our lives. What could be more perfect than to show them where we spend a lot of our time these days (other than our home), where we create, do business, play and chill out. We took photos inside Kendo Creative, as well as outdoors.
Taking these photos and designing the cards was a lot of fun to do. It gives me the happy vibes! And even though our life at the moment is far from perfect — very far from perfect — it is definitely a season I want my children and I to always always remember. And I do hope, somehow, these cards bring joy to those who will receive and read them. I do hope we are able to spread hope and light as a family this Christmas because we know we all need it. Perhaps, if we keep on spreading happiness, it will also keep finding its way back to us.
So with love from our family to you and yours, we wish you all a very meaningful and blessed Christmas as well as a joy-filled and magical 2017! Celebrate today and celebrate it to the full!
