Fresh flowers, crafts, a crepe bar, delicious drinks and wonderful company at a lovely restaurant on a sunny Saturday — just the right ingredients to make a blissful event! And that’s exactly what our workshop with Make it Blissful last July 26 was composed of. It was part of Make it Blissful‘s Craft & Crepes series which happens at La Creperie. This one was held at the Salcedo branch which was a perfectly inspiring spot for crafting.
Thirteen ladies joined me make some inspirational fabric banners which were meant to be hung up on a wall in their rooms or work spaces. Days prior to workshop day, I asked them to think of a quote, word or simple image that means something to them and that they would like to see and be reminded of all the time. These are what they painted on their banners.
An assortment of other materials were also made available to them so they could embellish their banners. I taught them how to make thread tassels and also prepared stencil patterns for them to use.
The project is actually pretty tedious specially if they had chosen to do some stenciling, but surprisingly everybody seemed to have had a very relaxing experience. In fact, the general atmosphere that day was quite peaceful and calming. I guess crafts did it’s magic again and provided this group of ladies a chance to unwind and de-stress.
Aside from the crafting and good food, Juice Hut, in collaboration with Make it Blissful, launched two new irresistibly yummy nutmilk flavors: Choco Hazel Bliss and Apple Berry Bliss. Everybody who joined us that day got to be the first ones to try them and they were most definitely enjoyed to the last sip!
It was, once again, a pleasure of mine to have been able to share my time and love for crafts with others. I do hope they took home something more than just a painted banner. I hope they were inspired and encouraged. And I hope those banners they made would constantly be a reminder of what’s truly important.
