This summer, I’m sooo thrilled to be working with Craft Easy Philippines to share with you some fun DIY projects. First up is a Mother’s Day activity that I put together with my three bouncing balls of sunshine — Summer, Emma and Jo!

Watch this video to find out how you can create fun summer scrapbooks with your kiddos using Craft Easy products, of course.
I hope you enjoyed that! If there’s one thing my girls and I love to do together, it’s arts and crafts. This is how we normally are at home — gathered around the dining table, drawing and gluing stuff together. Scrapbooking, specifically, is my favorite way to bond with them.
So if you’d like to try doing this at home and if you’ve already seen the DIY video but are interested in some more tips and tricks, here’s a few:
Collect Memorabilia
When we go on trips, events and little adventures around town, we try to collect pieces that remind us of what we did. These can be tickets, maps, calling cards, stickers and flyers. So when it’s time for us to scrapbook about a specific event, we have so much more to put on the page other than pictures and writings.
Seeing these memorabilia pieces say so much more about what we experienced.
Prepare materials in theme
Before starting to scrapbook with the kids, bring out only the materials you want them to use for that specific layout. Children, specially the littler ones, will always want to use everything they see. So if you only bring out stickers and paper that match the theme or are in the color palette you have in mind, then they’ll only use those. Everyone is happy!
Create freely!
After having set what the subject of your scrapbooking is and after preparing all that you need, make a lot of room for freedom and surprise! Allow the kids to stick things where they want on the page or doodle around.

A little mess and some disorder is good and totally okay! Trust me, I’ve had to learn and re-learn this ober and over. But I realized that scrapbooking is about memories and the activity in itself is already memory making. So let it be a bonding experience that they enjoy and you will cherish always.

Thanks for taking time to watch our video and reading this blog. I hope you find joy in memory keeping just as my kids and I do. Happy scrapbooking! And may all you mommas out there receive a downpour of love this Mothers Day!
Big thanks to Craft Easy Philippines and the entire team behind it for making this video and project possible! 💖
