I bought this bare Christmas wreath a few years back which I decorate differently every few years. One time I used book paper pages and the next year, I used fabric scraps. I really prefer upcycling things I find around my home instead of buying new ornaments.

As an Advent Calendar activity the other day, the girls helped me dress up the same old wreath. This time, we used leftover felt and glitter tape I had in storage!

Each of the girls made two felt ornaments which I helped assemble using hot glue. We added the starburst cutouts later on using glitter tape from Craft Easy Philippines. A big red ribbon and a simple bow pulled everything together nicely.

And for a final touch, Craft Easy’s chalkboard sticker sheet came in handy. I made a small “Merry Christmas” sign to make it just a little bit more cheerful and personal.

Surprisingly, this project turned out a lot easier and quicker to make than I had expected. It doesn’t require too many materials too! If you happen to have an old wreath lying around, try sprucing it up with fabric, paper or felt. Let your kids decide what fun shapes or quirky characters to put. Make it unique and make it yours!
