Three months ago I turned 30 (hooray!) and around the same time found out I’m pregnant with baby #3! It’s been quite a wild ride since then, having to deal with the worst morning (more like all day) sickness I have experienced so far and at the same time, taking care of two very curious and active little girls. It has been a very tiring and nauseating few months, but now that I’m at 18 weeks and into the second trimester, I’m relieved to say that I’m feeling so much better
I’m already able to go about my daily routine without feeling so sick or weak but I’m also still taking it easy, making sure I eat and sleep right. That’s also why I haven’t done late night crafting in a while. At night, my body (and I’m guessing the little baby inside me too) just really wants to lay flat in bed!
It hasn’t been easy but I’m super thankful to my friends and family who have constantly been making themselves available to help with the kids and the house chores. Some days, my best friend, Eyette, shows up all of a sudden and next thing I know, she’s in our kitchen washing dirty dishes. Kayo has also been extra sweet, surprising me with treats and driving out late at night to buy me whatever it is I’m craving for. It’s such a comfort to know I am never alone and that there are people who I can always count on. When I feel spent, miserable and hormonal, they are there and they make things a breeze.
Now, I’m just enjoying being pregnant. Though I’m easily tired and still get dizzy at times, it’s nothing I can’t handle. My belly has gotten bigger and I’m thrilled because the baby is big enough for me to feel it move. In a few weeks, we can find out if we’re having a boy or a girl. It’s so exciting! There are so many beautiful things to look forward to and new things to learn. I’m happy to be pregnant again and though I know it’s gonna be wild having three small kids at home, it’s my great joy to have a healthy, growing family!
Congratulations!
