Kayo and I went to Singapore last month for a weekend convention but we made sure to dedicate the rest of the trip to meeting new friends and exploring new places, which of course included some coffee hopping.
I actually didn’t get to visit many coffee shops on this trip but these three I made to where pretty superb. All three shops not only serve solid, flavorful brews, they’re also beautiful spaces that anybody will surely appreciate and enjoy. Next time you plan a trip to Singapore, maybe include these shops in your hit list.
APARTMENT
161 Lavender St, #01-12, Singapore 338750
Open daily except Thursdays, 9am – 6pm
Bathed in bright natural light, clean and minimal architecture, situated on a round corner of a commercial building, Apartment Coffee Roasters is a gorgeous space.
Home to one of the world’s top baristas, you can expect great coffee and excellent service here.

GLASSHOUSE
30 Victoria St, #01-03 Chijmes, Singapore 187996
Open daily, hours may vary

We didn’t get to spend a lot of time in Glasshouse but it was worth a visit and we did enjoy our quick drinks.
All the greenery definitely make it feel homey and help create a calm and pleasant vibe. It’s pretty obvious locals think so too because the place was packed with people working, studying and meeting — customers who, unlike us, deliberately came to spend the afternoon.
NYLON COFFEE ROASTERS
#01, 4 Everton Park, 40, Singapore 080004
Open daily except Tuesdays, hours may vary

Nylon Coffee Roasters was probably the one I enjoyed the most. I felt like aesthetically, it’s the most me.
Inside, it’s standing room only (except for a couple of orange chairs!) but you wouldn’t mind at all because they made it a point to make the set up look pretty and interesting. I love the fresh and dried floral centerpieces inside that complemented the flowering trees outside.

I also absolutely enjoyed my silky smooth Honduras El Puente which may have been my best cup of coffee in this trip! I would definitely visit Nylon again.
