I love babies and I love celebrating them! So I was so happy to have been able to throw my sis-in-law, Martine, a sweet and intimate "Oh Baby" shower last Jan 11. It was a team effort with my mother-in-law and Amy, my other sister-inlaw. We held it at my in-laws' home and aside from family, Martine's close female friends where also there to celebrate with us. As usual, I took care of the party details. It was quite easy to plan for because I very well know what Martine likes. It's all dots, flowers, rustic and chic elements in greys, browns and blush with a touch of gold. It's also Read More
To Our Sweet Emma…
Dearest Emma, You have such an interestingly distinct personality. Papa and I are constantly amazed by you and who you are becoming... You are sweet and tender, but you're also very strong and brave. You're usually quiet, but you also love to sing and you're such an excellent little speaker. A lot of times, you have this serious look on your face but when you do smile or laugh, you light up the entire room! I love how you and your sister Summer have your own private little jokes and that you always make her laugh. I love how you adore Jo and how you always try to calm her down when Read More
Our Jo
Exactly three weeks ago, on October 16 at 4:44 am, I gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl. She wasn't expected to arrive for another week or two but she decided to come early! And I'm pretty glad she did because she turned out to be quite a big one! The biggest of my three, she weighed just a little over 7lbs and was 51cm long. If she had waited a few more weeks, I probably would have had a much more difficult time giving birth. But she did come and it was such a pleasant surprise! Kayo and I named her Frances Josephine. Kayo has always wanted to name one of his kids after a Read More
A Baby Shower for Two!
I had a really great day last Sunday! My sister in law, Martine, who is also expecting, threw me and Amy (my other sister in law!) a very sweet and intimate baby shower at La Creperie in Calderon St., San Juan. My childhood friends who I haven't hung out with in a while and some cousins came to celebrate with us. Martine did such a great job putting together the shower. It already looks really pretty inside La Creperie, but she made our table even prettier and a little more personal by dressing it up with colorful French macarons, fresh flowers and sweet-smelling lavender soap for each Read More
Pregnant Again!
Three months ago I turned 30 (hooray!) and around the same time found out I'm pregnant with baby #3! It's been quite a wild ride since then, having to deal with the worst morning (more like all day) sickness I have experienced so far and at the same time, taking care of two very curious and active little girls. It has been a very tiring and nauseating few months, but now that I'm at 18 weeks and into the second trimester, I'm relieved to say that I'm feeling so much better I'm already able to go about my daily routine without feeling so sick or weak but I'm also still taking it easy, Read More
Peek-a-boo-Emma!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfiBGKA5k7I&feature=youtube_gdata_player It's crazy how fast time flies. This video of Emma was taken just about a month ago and she has already grown three new teeth since. I feel like I had just given birth to her but actually, she's turning one year old in a few weeks! I'm discovering that it's trickier to watch and record every single moment with the second child than it was with the first. That's because life is plain busier with two kids, specially when one of them is a curious toddler. Kayo and I tried our best to take notice of everything Emma Read More
Weekend Snapshots #6
Yesterday was a lovely Mother’s Day so Kayo took me and the kids to the park. (Summer isn’t in any of the pictures because she was sleeping in her stroller!) There was barely anybody there so we had a pretty pleasant time. Afterwards, we had souvlaki for dinner. Happy Mother’s Day to me! :D Read More
Emma’s Christening Party: Pretty and Personal
Last week, my four month old baby girl, Emma Louise, was finally baptised. We welcomed her to the Catholic Church and celebrated with family and close friends at one of my favorite places to eat in our neighborhood, The Clubhouse. We usually hold parties at home and make decor ourselves but holding this one at a different venue did not stop me from crafting little pieces to make the event more personal and, of course, pretty! My sister-in-law, Martine of DaintyMom, contributed a bunch of lovely lovely washi tapes from Paper Chic Studio which I went crazy with! I realized there are so many Read More

Valentines Day: Just The Way I Wanted It
It was my first Valentine’s Day being both a wife and mom. Kayo and I set a date knowing that both our Moms will not be available to baby sit so we would have to take Summer out to dinner with us. We even agreed on eating at a japanese restaurant near our place so we could easily go home in time for Summer’s bedtime without having to encounter heavy traffic. I totally didn’t mind. Being a new mom has taught me to let go of the ideal weekend, vacation or holiday where I could celebrate, party or relax the way I used to when I was single or newly-married. Now, almost everywhere I go, I have a Read More
